There is still a lot I want to fix about this, but I figured I'm late enough as it is. Clearly this is a reference to the monkey as Vernon's white whale, and I took inspiration from different covers of Moby Dick I found. I meant to add a little Vernon on the ship and I had trouble blending the monkey to make it appear underwater. I used mostly the blob brush, pen tool, and gradients to make this image.
