Interesting idea, it does happen more often than not that a persons appearance matter more than their knowledge. Over all I think you idea works, and the execution isn't bad.
I like it too. A buddy of mine got rejected by the marines because of his tats. The MARINES rejected him. I don't know a single marine that doesn't have at least one! Very well done idea. You should print some of these off and get them around.
I agree! You could also post them in your Facebook feed, or Reddit, or somewhere. The one detail that looks a little off is the black outline around the face/jawline of the figure in My Degree Should Speak for Itself. I prefer the cop's face that doesn't have the stroke.
Plus, the concept's flexible enough, and there are so many "trustworthy" jobs like doctors, babysitters, etc., that you could continue this as a body of work if you felt like taking up a personal project. I'm picturing figure skaters with tattoos.
