The process I took for these two images were both the same. I found some images online and used the pen tool to trace outlines and then filled them in with various shades. For some of hte designs like the road on the second one and the power lines in the background I used the blop brush and the rectangular tool. For the top one I used the pen tool again for the buildings and then added a simple gradiant at the bottom.
The concept or idea for this project was based off the game Dying Light which is like your typical zombie survival video game. The first one was on a more serious note trying to persuade people to join together in order to fight as if you were looking at a typical war propaganda poster. The second poster took a little bit of a comical side with a man who hasn't been infected holding up a sign that reads: "Still Alive". Referring to the zombies that inside there is still a human being trapped. This poster is more to represent the derp and the derpier people you meet around the world that really just don't have very much common sense. :) I think both concepts worked well I'm pleased with them being done completely in illustrator.
I like the ideas, but your text is hard to read, and I feel there could be more color.
