The top row is the Mystery versions, center is Horror, and bottom is Dystopian.
Mystery Left: Its a guy wearing Firefighting gear standing in a doorway, but he will just be a silhouette.
Mystery Right: A picture of a book aflame.
Horror Left: A hand reaching through fire at the viewer.
Horror Right: A picture of the firefighter's mash as he watches fire.
Dystopian Left: A cityscape with the title on the buildings as signs.
Dystopian Right: A Badge for the firefighters.

The badge or the hand coming out of the fire would be my choices. It might look cool to have the hand holding a book.

ReplyDeleteI think that if you refined the gas mask version, it will come out having the greatest effect. Great sketches and ideas for your book!
ReplyDeleteI feel second pair is the most captivating imagery wise. I think they would look really great with a lot of texture, and maybe a split complementary color scheme(red-orange, blue green).

ReplyDeleteThese are all great ideas. I particularly like the idea of the fire fighters' mask, I think the final image will have a great impact. I also really like the badge design. I'm excited to see how these turn out!
ReplyDeleteThe gas mask sketch looks interesting. I recommend uploading your images in a higher resolution for people to see more of the details in your drawings.
ReplyDeleteI like your ideas. The first one actually reads more like horror than mystery to me based on the original story. I wish there was a bit more emphasis on the books, though, since they're a big part of the original setting.
