This is the remake of the Vampire poster, I decided to make it comical and kid-friendly since I wanted to show that vampires are the opposite of scary and gruesome. I thought it would be funny to use Count Chocula in this one because he's a vampire made for kids and is famous for his chocolate cereal and treats, so to show the interaction of vampires and children, I drew him selling his treats made into girl scout cookies with a little girl selling them. At first I didn't intend to make the text rhyme but it just came out that way. I did everything in Illustrator and used mainly the blob brush, pen tool and shapes tool to draw everything. I also used gradients in a lot of things.
Well its does come off as silly and cartoonish, so job well done. But I still say that you made the "Little girl" look to much like your self.
ReplyDeleteLove it! It's cool to see what it once was and what it's become! I agree that the little girl looks like you, but I don't see anything wrong with that. I tend to draw a lot of characters that look like myself. Great rhyme too. Nice that you're rhyming about chocolate instead of something else that's brown.
