I found the artist I was speaking of,http://www.richardwallich.com. I believe he was most noted for his Oil & Acrylic paints, most recognized for the image of Mark Spitz, the 70's Olympic swimming star who, before Michael Phelps was the winningest Olympian of all time with 7 Gold medals. Wallich went on to create lasting images of all kinds of Great athletes, and memorializing great sports moments with his style of Oil and Acrylic paintings with a dream like feeling.
