The book I chose was The Stinky Cheese Man. First one being the remake, second being action, and last being horror. I wasn't too pleased with the way the first one came out. I used the pen tool for all of these. I added textured images for all three. I tried a slightly different style than what I usual do for the last two. effects I used were feather, gradient, inner glow, and outer glow.
You have captured the feel of each genre very well. I like the 2nd cover because it's a play on the superman mentality of the genre.

ReplyDeleteNot familiar with the book, you always do great illustrations, the only thing I would have say is that all three images, especially the character so similar to each other almost could see the difference between genre..? but as always great illustrations.
ReplyDeleteGreat work. Although you say you dislike the first cover, I think it is the best one. I am a fan of thick line work with a sort of soft blurred background.

ReplyDeleteAll three of the covers are really nice. They're all cute, with a creepy feel for the horror one as well, which is something I haven't seen done successfully very often.
