The first book cover is for a children's book, it's full of color and cute pictures to attract the child's attention. the second one is my favorite and took the longest. I left the outlines and simpleness, because alice in wonderland is such a crazy and complex book. So I thought a simple cover added some contrast. The last one is horror, this is a combination of photo's artwork, and lots of faded/blended layers.
Great illustrations! The first one definitely has that "cutesy" look to it. The horror one looks amazing! Love the subtle use of color through out the cover.

ReplyDeleteAll three look great. I like the middle one the best, just how its stylized i think is cool.
ReplyDeleteNice work, Although i feel the anime style is a little off, but it could still work. The last one really works as a horror cover, but is a little to photoshop and not so much Illustration.

ReplyDeleteNice work. Your last image works really well! I think it's my favorite, it has a very dark feel to it. I think it's the strongest of your images very emotional in something so simple! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all of these! I like that your styles are very different from each other. I'm also glad you decided to give Alice and her male friend some clothes! I mean I myself wouldn't mind taking a stroll with a lovely lady through wonderland in the buff. But hey.
