Here's my version of the monkey. An ugly schmo ape trying to acquire the label of sex offender.
Here's another version with a color background. It looks dynamic but there's something about a regular crappy white backdrop that helps the images pop. So I'm conflicted about which is better. So I put both.
The second one is awesome. I'm glad that you wrote in your own words rather than using a clean font.

ReplyDeleteI really like the Comic style it fits the articles playful nature, and I prefer the version with the gradient background.

ReplyDeleteThe colored background and white word bubbles were a good idea, I think it helps pull everything together. This is such a fun piece, I really like your cartoon style!

DeleteThis reminds me of the movie "MonkeyBone" starting Breddan Fraser, The comic style is in the same vein, crude, and yet funny, and while i get the point, A fail, (at the time) to get a full like to the article. While i do like the art and ist style, I find it fitting for the jokes made here in, I still feel that something else could be added to better tie it all together.
