Weekly Design Example

Sorry I know it is 2 images but I couldn't decide between them.  These are from my photography portfolio.  My daughter and two nieces gladly posed for me in these "Lost Angels" photographs I took for photography class.  We did nearly get run over by the train who honked at us profusely!

week 2

I absolutely love both the colors and the style, and I hope that one day I can do art similar to this.
Artist: Erik Jones

Weekly Illustration Example 2

I thought that this illustration poster created by Olly Moss was quite interesting. If you take a look, the poster uses an effect known as gestalt. Meaning that one image may create another, but without using actual lines or shapes. Your brain pieces the work together itself. The color scheme of the poster is also almost eye burning, which really draws your attention. Over all I believe this is a great example of simplicity but still has its own touch.

I simply loved the color and the imagery of the post apocalyptic back drop...combined with a kinda whimsical feel of a floating in air boat of sorts.

I really like the patterns and texture around the image of the panda along with all the line work and color... plus I like pandas...... :)

Weekly Design/Illustration Example

Here is an illustration done by Anton Semenov. His style is crazy cool! I feel like his style adds a dark and disturbing feel. The texture and details are great as well. Here is a link to some more of his works http://bit.ly/K9nH4E or check out my personal blog to see three of his other illustrations he's done.

Really great textures that give the image an incredible look!

Weekly Illustration Blog

I just really like this style and hope to be able to create work like this some day.

I love that this design plays with the figure/ground relationship using silhouettes. I also really enjoy the use of color.

I liked this because of the seamless mesh of technology and nature.

Week 2 Design Intrests

So this week I thought why not show off a 3D artist that started out making fan done 3D renders of Gundam models as super complex dioramas. Here is Sandrum with his Shin Musha Gundam.

Key to My Heart

I loved this ad because of the matching soft colors of pink and pink and the sparkle and shine of the key, the nails and the lips.  I found it very pleasing and it shows off the product well.

THINKING

Sorta self image, about what I was thinking at the time..!

Very much my style of drawing. I enjoy drawing portraits and the woman's figure. Jason Thielke is the illustrator of this piece, and I follow him on Tumblr.

Weekly Illustration Example 1

I found this illustration to be interesting for a couple reasons. One because of color and two just because of how unique it is.
I really like this one.  It is super fun and yet simple.  Not overly done.

It's always fun to see the funny twists between children and their nightmares. A lot of fun and energy in this photo.

THINK..Sorta self image of what I was thinking at the time.!

incredible new technology

electric paint

This little item gives me endless ideas.
I liked this just because of how it gives the look of a painting with no real harsh lines.
Wow this is just amazing! This a portrait of Bryan Cranston as Walter White aka "Heisenberg" done by Richard Davies using Photoshop and Wacom tablet. I thought Breaking Bad was a great AMC TV series. Here's a link to some more of Richard's work featuring portraits of Jeese, Hank, and Mike http://bit.ly/15Rapl3.
