Project 4 - Print/Digital Portfolio & Print for Sale Item CDELANEY

For this final project, I chose the best pieces in my collection of art work. I created a small booklet for my portfolio that has a brown and yellow color scheme. I had a great time making it but I should have been a little quicker since the printed portfolio didn't come until today. For my print to sell item, I made an iphone case with altered artwork of my anti-space whale assignment. It turned out very well and I always envisioned that it would be on a cell phone cover.

Here is the link to my digital portfolio:

I created it in WordPress and I would like to hear what you guys think of it.

Cheers,

Lance Martineau Final Project

My final project for this class is like so:

My actual traditional portfolio is...meh. I mean I'm pleased with how it turned out. It's just it has work I've already done and you all have seen, plus it's on my digital portfolio. The Link is as follows:

www.newhousewebdesign.com/user 37

My print on demand item is a poster for "Mayors Against Illegal Guns". You've all seen it. It...defies description...But hey, it's me.

Last but not least, I decided to start a Facebook fan page dedicated to myself. Yeah that's not cocky at all. I was thinking about doing a weekly web series. We'll see how that turns out.

The page is simply titled Lance Martineau Comics. Like it on Facebook!

Well that's about it. I had fun this semester. Have fun and God bless!

Final Project

So here is my final Project, or rather what I have done for it so far. My print on demand item is still forthcoming, as i do not feel ready to send it off to Woot.com for checking. After all my intention is to get paid for the work, and not to have it sit on my computer taking up space forever and ever. But I did it based on an episode of Doctor Who called: "The Pandorica Opens". I liked the look of the object in the show, Pandora's Box more or less, and so I though why not make a t-shirt. I have had one too many set backs with it, hence why its not done, but I should have it done, depending in the next week or so.

As for the Physical and digital portfolios, I used existing materials to make them, and rather fast, but at the same time, my files are so disorganized right now that it took a while to get them all together. At this point I am still gathering my files, and getting them all ready for a better presentation down the at some point. But I do have two digital portfolios, and I did spend plenty of time cleaning them up, and adjusting their content. However I still feel I have a lot more to do in this area. Also for the time I have been using the blog I set up for class to post new stuff, as the ones I all ready had have not been getting any new posts until I fix all the old ones.

so my Print on demand so far:

and there is was the Pandorica looks like in the show.

So for the physical one I have a PDF of it, it will look different than the printed one, because I am editing it further at this time.

FINAL PROJECT:
Portfolio:Digital & Hardcopy
PrintOnDemand: Two Custom Design T-shirts and Business Cards

I really enjoyed creating the final project, however rushed and very unorganized I do plan on improving the final product however the experience was worth the effort. I only see my art an images growing and getting better with every passing day. I am grateful for the other artists in class that both inspired and motivated me to improve and the generosity of those that helped and provided valued critique and input regarding my work, Thank you.

The ftmcreativedesignsolutions.com site is a project from my 190 class which I also plan on improving and actually using as both a personal and professional site and I will simply link the jobrien.portfoliobox.me site to this one, more exposure..! I had already had experience doing some print on demand stuff, although this time around I had some challenges with my online order … I chose to go with a familiar local printer which came through for me last minute. So overall I hope the end result fits the requirements but I do appreciate the experience and will only continue to improve my overall Portfolio and Web presence.

Final Project

In my portfolio I wanted to include a variety of traditional and digital work I've done. Most of the pieces  are from projects for different classes with a few personal things thrown in.  I had the most trouble deciding how to arrange the images in a way that would made sense visually.
For my print on demand object I choose to do a shirt and decided to do a sort of band t design for a kpop group I like. I tried to keep the colors pretty simple but ended up getting pretty detailed in other areas but I think the shirt itself turned out pretty good.

Portfolio Project

The concept behind my Portfolio is Illustrations. Mainly some I created in the past 2 semesters. I have more that I'm still working on but for now I just used the illustrations that I had finished. Most of the Illustrations were done for assignments in classes and a few I did just for fun when I had some extra time to mess around. Basically the theme of my Portfolio is Difference, as I wanted to show how my illustrations and style can vary as I am still looking for a style that I can call my own.

For my Print on demand object I chose a t-shirt design. Which is my favorite animal the Panda dreaming about food while taking a nap.... mainly because I was hungry at the time I first created it so I just went with it. I ended up ordering my item a bit later than expected which is why I don't have it to bring to class but the images below are what the t-shirt will look like. Kinda cool the site I ordered it from shows the end product.

Final Portfolio

For my final portfolio, I used both fine art and digital art work that I have done in the past and present. I decided to mix it up because I do both of them, although in the past I mainly focused on fine arts. Most of the black and white charcoal drawings were pieces I have done for customers, so I thought those were crucial to include since it is a business I want to continue doing, and I've also included paintings I've done for assignments recently here at MCC. Then I have some digital artwork from some classes I've taken here, to show how I've used my skills in the pieces and progressed in learning how to use the digital art programs. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

For my print on demand project, I made a work out tank top with a logo I drew for a customer, who wanted me to draw him this image for a tank top only for his work outs. I decided to go with this because it was something I needed to work on anyways and it was perfect timing to get it done. I am pretty satisfied with the way it came out.

Roberto Osoria Final Critique

For my portfolio I added alot of the work that I've made over the years as a student. Most of the work is digital art but I added some of my earlier drawings too. I haven't really developed a style I like so my portfolio isn't exactly consistent. It's definitely not the most cohesive portfolio but it does have variety. I plan to add more work and hopefully it'll flow better visually.
For my print on demand I knew I wanted to make a shirt. I came up with AT-AT design pretty late. I actually ordered it and had it printed all in the same day by 'Think Graphics'. This is not what I wanted but I need credit for this assignment. I plan to have it reprinted on a light blue shirt. I accidentally left a blue layer on my file and so now there is a blue box which makes it virtually unwearable. My brother didn't care so I let him have it.

Jalyn Gagnon's Final Critique

Your two-paragraph statement:
I separated my portfolio into three sections, computer illustration, photography and Graphic Design. Most of the artwork in my portfolio is from my art classes this semester, but the graphic design section is from my time at the East Valley Institute of Technology. The two magazines in my portfolio were both published, one had my work in it, the other I created the layout for. I tried to create a portfolio that showed all the skills that I have learned.
For my print on demand object I chose to do a banner. I chose to do a banner because I wanted to do a phone or t-shirt like everyone else. the first idea I had for my object didn't look good when I finished it, so I decided to try something else. I drew my print on demand object while I was printing photo's for my portfolio. What started out as a doodle became a work of art!

Finals

For the final I gathered work from previous classes. Although, I'm not satisfied with the work I have done. I misplaced my USB that contained my most important files. Luckily, I found it last minute so I rushed through the project.
For the print on demand I chose to do a postcard. I came up with the saying "All is not lost". Lately, I've been sketching words of wisdom for myself just to keep a positive mindset and I enjoy it. This was one of them.
First, I scanned my work and used the pen tool for the words. I thought it would be funny if I made a pattern of socks for the background so it has this weird combination. As for the postcard I ordered it late and it hasn't arrive yet.

final critique

I decided to do two print on demand items the one on the left is mostly done with the pen tool and the use of different strokes and also the symbol tool. It is supposed to represent the possible nature of a quiet person the tree represents the outward tranquil appearance and the city represents the the inner thoughts of the person.

The one on the right I did for work as our new out of order signs for our video games and decided that it would look good on a t-shirt. It was mostly done with the shape tool and the shape maker tool.
